Programming Ideas for Your Adventist Youth Society for 2006
|
The Greater New York Conference Adventist Youth Coordinators noticed the need of the local AY Directors who Sabbath after Sabbath must come before the youth and young adults, and in many cases, the adults of their churches with a good program. We must remind you that AY Society is not about programming is about ministry.
In order for AY to fulfill its objective, young people must be nurtured and utilized and non-Christian youth must be reached. Any type of AY Society program, be it a skit, round table, concert, outing, community service activity, visitation of other young people, Mission Trip Presentation, or Christian Film Festival, among others must have the purpose of nurturing and educating the youth and young adults of the church and winning the non-Christian for Christ.
Coming back every week with a purposeful program, which nurtures the young people and reaches out to non-Christians is not easy. The AY Coordinators Advisory came up with some excellent programming ideas for the local AY Society Ministry, as well as for Youth Sabbaths. These ideas would support and help the AY Director and the AY Team as they minister on a weekly basis to the youth, young adults, and adults in the local church.
