1. Pathfinder Recognition Day & Mission Project (this Sunday, February 5 @ GrandConcourseSDAChurch): This Sunday, beginning at 10:00 AM Sharp, over 1,000 Adventurers, Pathfinders, and Master Guides will gather at the GrandConcourseSeventh-dayAdventistChurch for the Recognition Day and Mission project 2006. During the ceremony the Adventurer, Pathfinder, Master Guide, Director, and Coordinator of the Year will receive an award. The same will be done for the Adventurer and Pathfinder Club of the Year. During the ceremony there will be prices, including two registration certificates for the Atlantic Union Pathfinder Camporee and the Greater New York Conference Adventurer Camporee, among other special presentations. The Recognition Ceremony will take place from 10 AM to 12 PM.
After the Recognition Ceremony we will have the Mission Project, each club must participate in this project, since this is the reason why Pathfinders, Adventurers, and Master Guides exist, to do mission for the Lord. We are asking each Pathfinder and Adventurer club to collect 3-5 toys per club, and 1-2 fruit baskets. We would like to ask each kid and adult attending, who is able, to bring $2.00, since we will collect an offering for the Katrina Relief Effort, which is still ongoing. The toys and fruit baskets will be distributed at the LebanonHospital (Pediatric Division), nursing home, and neighborhood during the afternoon, right after the recognition ceremony. The Mission Project will take place from
12:30 PM to 2 PM.
Let the parents of the kids and youth know ahead of time, so they can make a lunch bag preparation for each kid.

2. Adventist Youth Ministries Ski Trip (next Sunday, February 12, 2006 @ Big Boulder, PA): Great event for Young Adults, Collegiate, Teens, Pathfinder Clubs and Master Guides. This is an excellent outreach opportunity, you can bring along non-Adventist friends and colleagues. I have already invited my neighbors and their young kids to go with us. A wonderful way to introduce non-Christians to our church. Prices are the lowest they have ever been for this event:
Ski Package: $33.00 (Lift Ticket, Ski Lessons, Equipment Rental)
Snowboard Package: $33.00 (Snowboard Ticket, Snowboard Lessons, Equipment Rental)
Snow Tube Package: $15.00 (Tube)
Combo Package (Skiing & Tubing): Add $48.00
I would like to make it clear, this event is not only for Pathfinders, it’s for everyone who would like to attend. We will open at 9:00 AM and you will be able to ski all day. If you would like to see the flyer, please go to our website and download it there.
3. The Greater New York Adventist Youth Ministries Website, www.gnycyouth.com is up and running: Our website has been up and running since January 24. Hundreds of you have already visited the site. There are still improvements that need to be made and we are working on them. We always welcome ideas and positive comments to improve the site.
