Dear Greater New York Conference Member and Friend:
We pray for many blessings for you, your family, and your church family as you receive this brief note.
It’s with lots of excitement and anticipation that I write to you, as we begin a tremendous process of development and beautification for our Camp Berkshire. Seeing the great need for improvement at our Camp, our Conference Executive Committee has appointed a team to deal with the Vision, Strategic Planning and Development of our Camp. As a team we believe that it is very important to get the input of all the owners of Camp Berkshire, that’s you, me; all of us together. Our vision for our camp must be a shared vision.
Our team has begun its work with lots of prayer, anticipation, and hope for the future. We are sure that Jesus is coming soon and would like to wait for Him doing our best in our ministry and with the properties He has given us till He comes. We are convicted that it is important to have a Master Plan which contemplates the needs of Greater New York, our needs, as children, youth, young adults, and adults, and how Camp Berkshire can fulfill these needs. Only as we know our collective needs, will we be able to plan for our Camp Berkshire and make it a relevant, up to date, and a blessed experience, worth of the God we serve and of the church we are a part of.
The objective of this note is to ask that you take 15 minutes of your time and fill out a survey. Camp Berkshire belongs to all of us; without our input the Strategic Planning and Development Process will not be complete. If you are not able to complete the survey online, it can also be downloaded from www.gnycyouth.com/ or www.gnyc.org/ If you would like to download it, fill it out by hand, and send it to Camp Berkshire, ATT: SURVEY, 680 Berkshire Rd., Wingdale, NY 12594. If you are not able to download, we will have a copy for you to fill out during one of our summer Campmeetings. We need your input.
