In order for the week to be of successful, youth and young adults must bring their friends, colleagues, and family members with them, those who are not Christians or have not been baptized yet, must attend. Weeks of Youth Evangelism Coming Up

There are about 4 more weeks of Youth Evangelism which we will announce as soon as we have all the details. They will take place in the following areas:

Bronx (English); Brooklyn/Staten Island (English); Long Island (Bilingual); Manhattan

The flyers for the events are attached, they are also posted on the website, please post them and promote these important Youth Evangelistic Series in your church.

2.Adventist Youth Evangelism Rally 2007: Due to the fact that some of our Youth Evangelistic Series have been delayed to the month of June, we will postpone the Adventist Youth Evangelism Rally from June 23 to September. Information will be available very soon for you. We would like to have thousands of Youth, Young Adults, Pathfinders, Adventurers, and Master Guides for this Rally in September. Most likely it will take place on September 22, in the afternoon, and we will continue with the Olympics after sundown and into Sunday, September 23.

3.Campmeetings Programming for Youth and Young Adults: Our Campmeetings and Summer Camp Programs for Youth and Young Adults (ages 13-35) will be combined. There will be three Campmeetings during the summer; each one will include a Summer Camp Program for Youth and Young Adults. The dates are as follow:

English Campmeeting & Summer Camp: June 30 to July 7

Spanish Campmeeting & Summer Camp: July 14 to July 21

Franco-Haitian Campmeeting & Summer Camp: July 22 to July 28

Each one of these Camps will have spiritual programming, recreational programming (Mountain Biking, Archery, Swimming, Water Skiing, Tubing, Softball, Basketball, Inflatable Games, among other things). These will be a great opportunities to bring not only Adventist Youth & Young Adults, but non-Christian friends also; we will have a baptism at the end of each week.

4. Teen & Young Adult Small Groups at each LocalChurch: One of our goals is to have a Teen Small Group (13-17) and a Young Adult Small Group (18-35) at each local church. It is my conviction that Small Group Ministry is the strongest evangelistic and nurturing weapon that we as a church have against Satan. Teens and Young Adults who get together during the week to pray, study the Bible, fellowship, and also bring their non-Adventist friends to the group, grow spiritually and don’t leave the church. At the same time, the church grows because the non-Adventist friends become interested in Jesus and eventually join the church.

The churches following this Biblical method are seeing the results. If you need more info, training, and materials, please E-mail Pastor Jose or call the Adventist Youth Ministries Department.

5. Take Your Church to School/Work Day (May 18): We are calling on each Seventh-day Adventist Teen, Youth, and Young Adult to wear something that identifies him/her with the Seventh-dayAdventistChurch on Friday, May 18, 2007. Go to school or work with a shirt, pin, and jacket, something that says “Seventh - day Adventist” on it. If you don’t have anything to wear, take a Bible with you, don’t put the Bible in your bag, keep it in your hand, but have something that identifies you, as a Seventh-day Adventist. When people ask, tell them about Jesus. You can also share the many positive things of your church. Before May 18, I will share with many positives of the AdventistChurch, so when asked, you have lots of great answers.

6. Summer Mission Trips (Philippines & Mexico): There is still space available for both trips. There are a few updates and changes on the Philippines Outreach Mission Trip. To get the latest info, please go to the website.

Remember all of the event information, posters, reports, and lots of resources can be found at our website: www.gnycyouth.com. Pastor Jose’s E-mail: GNYCYOUTH@aol.com; Secretaries, Veronica & Joanne: ay@gnycyouth.com
